Hello! My name is Stacy Kline and I am Google Certified Trainer (GCT). I have prepared this course to help you prepare for the Google Certified Educator (GCE) Level 1 exam using the training materials provided by the Google for Education Teacher Center. All of the materials and images in this course were created by Google and are offered free of charge to educators worldwide.

Important Notice: Google is transitioning to a new site, the content is exactly the same, but in a beautiful, slick new format. For the purposes of this course, stay in the Google Teacher Center, not the new site so that the links and images are familiar to you. When this site shuts down, I will change these images to reflect the new site. This will help you follow the flow more easily. If you like the new site better, you may use it and upload screenshots from it instead, they are both fine!

The GCE Level 1 course is composed of 13 units, each with 2 - 6 unit lessons.

Each lesson concludes with a Unit Review of 5 - 8 questions.

The time it will take to complete each unit lesson will vary and estimates are listed at the beginning of each lesson to help with time management. You can also see the estimated time for each unit listed on the course outline below.

You are, of course, welcome to proceed at your own pace, skip sections that you already are comfortable with, and spend more time with the skills that you need more practice with, it's up to you!

As you complete the 13 units in the Level 1 Fundamentals Training in the Google for Education Teacher Center, you will become proficient using the various G Suite for Education tools and, most importantly, be able to use these tools in your teaching and learning!

If you would like credit for this Canvas course in GoPD, simply upload the required screenshots as you proceed through the lessons. I will grade the first two to make sure you understand, then I will grade the rest when you complete the course. You do not need to complete this course unless you want to and it is not required to take the GCE Level 1 certification exam with Google, it is a stand-along certification!

After you have completed the 13 units of the Google Certified Educator Level 1 course, you will be well-prepared to take the GCE Level 1 exam with the Google for Education Teacher Center.
