One of the benefits of going online is connecting through chat, texting, gaming, and other activities. But what about situations that become uncomfortable? This may happen online when others become overly personal or hostile or if you self-disclose too much. If you respond to inappropriate requests or hostility in ways that are out of character, it can make you feel powerless and leave you open to manipulation.It's important to keep yourself safe by thinking ahead about what you will and won't do online.
