'Text with Embedded Content' - Tutorials

To help you to learn the basic skills that you will need to begin embedding content into Canvas content pages, the following tutorials have been developed. In particular, you will learn how to embed images that have hyperlinks, YouTube videos, and PowerPoint presentations. Some of the steps for doing each of these might seem more complicated than simply creating hyperlinks for text. However, with practice these skills become easier to follow and use in your own courses.

Embedding Images That Have Hyperlinks:
Click on the image below to view a tutorial that will show you how to upload and embed this image into an Canvas page and then create a hyperlink to other content. For the tutorial on creating hyperlinks, the instructions shown are for creating hyperlinks with text. However, the same exact steps apply by simply clicking on the image rather than highlighting the text.

Embedding YouTube Videos:
The following are tutorials that will show you how to embed YouTube and other videos into an Canvas content page. While some of the steps may seem complicated, with practice and experimentation we are confident that you will be able to become proficient at doing this. Embedding PowerPoint Presentations:
The following PowerPoint presentation will walk you through the steps that you can follow to embed presentations into Canvas content pages. To follow the instructions, simply click on the arrows at the bottom where it says, "SLIDE 1 OF 7" to advance to the next slide.
