Background:

The medieval Catholic Church played a huge role during the middle ages in Europe.  It was the only thing that unified the entire continent.  It also was the only way that a serf/peasant could break out of the barriers of being a peasant and move off the manor.

 

Directions:

Watch the video below entitled Religion in Medieval Europe and use the information in the video to answer the questions on the video guide.  A digital copy of the video guide has been attached to this post.  In addition complete the expanded analysis questions on the back of the video guide.
